terms of service
The terms on which eliverwood Ltd quotes for and carries out garden vegetation maintenance.
1. who we are
eliverwood Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 14603158. These terms apply to work we quote for and carry out at private residential properties.
2. quotes and how a price is agreed
We quote from the scope of the work: the size of the garden, the condition of the planting, the frequency you want, and anything that has to be removed from site. A quote is prepared after we have seen the garden. It covers the work described in it and the removal of the green waste produced by that work. If the garden turns out to involve more than was described when the quote was prepared — planting that is more overgrown than it appeared, or additional areas brought in — we will tell you before going ahead, and the price will be agreed again in writing.
3. booking, changes and cancellation
A booking is made when we confirm a date with you. You can change or cancel a booking at no charge up to 24 hours before the visit; after that we may charge for the time reserved. If we have to move a visit because of weather or an unsafe site, we will offer you the next suitable date at no charge. Where a visit is cancelled before any work has started, no refund is due because no payment has yet fallen due; where you have paid in advance and cancel under this clause, we refund the balance for work not carried out.
4. access to the property
You agree to give us access to the garden, to an outside tap and to a power supply where one is needed. Please tell us about anything we should know before we start: buried services, irrigation lines, fragile paving, or plants that must not be cut. We are not responsible for damage to anything that was not made known to us.
5. green waste
Cuttings, prunings and green waste produced by the work are removed from site on the same visit and included in the price quoted. Material you want kept — for example chippings for a border — can be left with you on request.
6. payment
Payment is due on completion unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept bank transfer and card payment. Where work is carried out on a regular cycle, we will agree the invoicing period with you before the first visit.
7. liability
We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. Our liability for any loss or damage arising from our work is limited to the value of the work carried out. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
8. governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
